We understand that the topic of trigger warnings can be a complicated issue for many readers and writers.


  • We believe that authors should feel free to address complex, even traumatic topics without the need to sanitize their stories.
  • We also believe that readers have the right to make the final determination regarding whether or not they wish to be exposed to potentially traumatic content.
  • These beliefs are not mutually exclusive.


This page is designed to provide readers with the information they may need so that they can make informed decisions. We have designated a separate page for this information to make it easy to find for those that want it, and easy to ignore for those that do not.


In identifying potential triggers, we have erred on the side of caution. We would rather people accuse us of being too critical when identifying potential triggers than not critical enough.
